Wireless power transmission is not a new idea. At the beginning of the 20th century, Nikola Tesla had already made a wireless transmission of electricity : he used electromagnetic induction. The Floating Light Bulb uses this same technology by combining it with magnetic flotation. The power is transferred wirelessly to the bulb, which allows our lamp to float in the air while being lit. The wireless system uses a very low voltage of 4.9V and therefore presents no risks.
